Town's reserves climbed to the top of the Pontin's Holidays Combination League East Division with a 1-0 victory at Stevenage Borough's Broadhall Way. Danny Haynes scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the 38th minute.

Richard Naylor netted from the spot in the final minute to earn the Town 2000 side a 3-3 draw in his testimonial. Alan Lee and Danny Haynes put the current Town team two up before Jermaine Wright and Marcus Stewart levelled. Haynes netted a penalty and Naylor fittingly completed the scoring.

Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that he could make a bid for Bohemians striker Stephen Ward, as reported by TWTD earlier this week. Ward, 21, has turned down the chance to join Norwegian club Fredrikstad, a fee of £170,000 having been agreed with the Eircom League club.
